Courageous Conversations: Aging and Social Inclusion of Older People

About the Session

Aging is one of the most complex variables of human life. Retirement sounds like a dream come true for many, yet not everyone has a substantial nest egg to see them through later years or family support to keep them company in times of illness. Aging brings about various challenges, not least of them being:

• Physical decline and a lost sense of purpose
• Difficulty with everyday tasks and mobility
• Financial insecurity, poverty
• Access to healthcare services
• Death of loved ones, social isolation
• Elder abuse, mistreatment, and others

In this webinar we have invited two speakers from different countries to talk about social inclusion of the elderly and how can each of us play a bigger role in taking care of the elderly people in our community.
