EMCC Asia Pacific has contracted and entered into a strategic collaboration and partnership to provide guidance, outreach and support for beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship. The fellowship is the world's largest and most financially inclusive fellowship for aspiring environmental innovators, to transform planet-positive ideas into real, scalable solutions. To raise the seed capital for this program, Mercedes-Benz auctioned off the most valuable car in history in May 2022, an SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe from 1955, which went for the record sum of 135 million euros (source).
beVisioneers is expanding across Asia, welcoming aspiring environmental fellows from e.g. India, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. And this year at EMCC APR, we aim to support 200 beVisioneers fellows through pro-bono mentoring in Asia Pacific. The collaborative project will be co-led by our very own Ivan Yong (co-president) and Juri Tsurumi (Ambassador for Japan).
How to get involved
We will soon start our recruitment callout for mentors to take part in our collaboration, in search of mentors open to dedicating just 1-2hours monthly, over 11 months, to a fantastic cohort of innovators.
Prior to recruitment, we have two information sessions lined up with Sheena Cheong, a central figure who has made this collaboration happen.
