In this next Network & Learn session, Geoff Duncan will explore how coaches can apply their broader knowledge, skills and experiences to the coaching context in this session.

-

By considering the case of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) in partnership with coaching skills, Geoff details findings from his doctoral research into the lived experiences of practitioners dual accredited in coaching and NLP to explore how such knowledge and skills are integrated into practice.

-

By interviewing 14 dual accredited professional practitioners, Geoff explored how the integration of NLP knowledge and coaching is navigated in practice to ensure an appropriately 'compliant practice' both ethically and concerning the use of contracted modalities. Geoff's research highlights an approach for considering how a coach might best utilise any knowledge and skills in addition to coaching skills that can be useful 'in service' of the client.
