Andrew Mackenzie is the Managing Director of BQ Choices.

Andrew is highly regarded as a thought leader in the area of professional coaching education, having co-founded the development of the first International Master of Business Coaching, of which he completed himself in 2009.

Described as a pragmatic and intuitive leader, Andrew is an accomplished, sought-after speaker and facilitator for executive teams. With over 10 000 hours of personal coaching under his belt and more than 2000 businesses touched, Andrew has supported thousands of business leaders and their teams. Andrew currently assists some of the world’s most iconic organisations spanning CEOs of SMEs through to multibillion dollar global enterprises like IBM, CBA, Reckon, Baulderstone and Nespresso et al.

Ak is a Director of Perth based Beckon Business – Coaching, Mentoring & Consulting. Prior to Beckon, he was a Partner and a Senior Coach with AltusQ. He was also a Director and Deputy Chairman from 2008 to 2010, having started with AltusQ (then Shirlaws) in February 2002.

He is also Founding President of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (Asia Pacific Region).

His other enterprise is Second Squared - an Australian Search Fund Accelerator.

With over 17 years of coaching experience behind him, Ak works with Boards, Senior Executives, Teams, Business Units and owners of Mid- Tier businesses on their commercial, cultural and personal growth.

Based in Western Australia, Ak’s clients include a diverse range of Resource Industry (Hard Rock & Oil and Gas) businesses as well as businesses servicing that industry.

He also coaches businesses within other industry sectors including Banking, Financial Planning, Accounting, Property Development, Legal, Biotechnology, Government (Federal, State & Local), Health & Education Sectors, Real Estate, Engineering and Construction, Advertising, Hospitality, IT, and Manufacturing.

While the outcome for many clients results in an increased asset/commercial value, Ak delights in seeing his clients get more out of life in general, in finding the time for their families and striking an overall balance in life.

Together with colleague Vanessa Fudge, Ak developed a Corporate Mentoring ‘white label’ program which is currently being implemented within a number of corporations and industry bodies across Australia.

Ak has over two decades of experience with corporations like IBM Australia, Ernst & Young, and PMP Ltd, as well as with a number of small and medium sized businesses in the IT&T industry.

Ak is a skilled presenter and has been a speaker at conferences and events for organisations including the ANZ Bank, St George Bank, BT Financial Group, Infocus, AMP, Integrated Group Ltd, MLC, RSM Bird Cameron, & others.
